Partner of the Month: Haw River Canoe and Kayak
Haw River Canoe and Kayak staff have been watchdogs over the river we love, while helping to create a larger, more diverse, community of river protectors by making our river accessible. They bring a spirit of joy and beauty and curiosity to the work by sharing stories, history, and river lore, pointing out the best fishing spots, swimming holes, and jumping rocks.
The folks at this incredible small business have supported us every year since we were founded, in every way they can. They offer free canoe rides at our May Festival and provide boats for our Hawesome! event in June. This spring, they provided HRA staff a chance to reconnect with the river and each other with a paddle in Saxapahaw. And this summer, they are one of our inaugural financial sponsors for our new and improved Swim Report program.
Many thanks and a lot of love to Haw River Canoe and Kayak, for all the ways you support our work and celebrate the Haw River.
