Haw River Assembly Ambassador Program

We are looking for Haw River Assembly Ambassadors to help with outreach at community events! We need volunteers to assist at our organization tables at public events like Spring Ag Festival in Chatham, Saturdays in Saxapahaw, and other events across the watershed. Whether you are a volunteer, member, or longtime supporter of Haw River Assembly, Haw River Assembly Ambassadors help us share our mission and efforts with the public.

What does it involve?

After completing this interest form, you'll begin receiving regular updates about upcoming events where Haw River Assembly needs volunteer representation. You'll also receive information about Haw River Assembly to help you feel confident and prepared to speak with the public about our mission and programs.

The HRA Event & Volunteer Program Manager coordinates each event, provides all necessary materials, and will share everything you need to know before the event when you sign up to volunteer. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed, supported, and ready to represent Haw River Assembly.

What will I need to know?

We understand that you may not be a water expert, and that's okay! As an HRA Ambassador, your most valuable role is sharing your own experiences with Haw River Assembly and encouraging others to get involved. Whether you're talking about our environmental education programs, volunteer opportunities, monthly e-newsletter, or simply helping someone discover that they live in the Haw River watershed, you're helping us spread our mission throughout the community. Every conversation helps raise awareness, build connections, and inspire others to protect our local waterways.
