tell NCDEQ to deny the 401 permit for the Southeast Supply Enhancement Project

2 Important Upcoming Opportunities to Speak Out Against NCSSEP: tell NCDEQ to deny the 401 permit for the Southeast Supply Enhancement Project. September 2nd and 4th!

As Executive Director of Haw River Assembly and Haw Riverkeeper, I am urging you to attend the upcoming NCDEQ public hearings on September 2nd in Wentworth or September 4th in Kernersville to speak out against the Southeast Supply Enhancement Project's water permit.

This dangerous pipeline would cross 173 wetlands and streams—including major drinking water sources for over 1 million North Carolinians—using harmful open-cut methods that degrade water quality and destroy aquatic habitat. We must also submit written comments by October 6th highlighting the project's threats to our climate, communities and the environmental justice concerns in overburdened areas. Your voice matters in protecting our water from this unnecessary fracked gas infrastructure that prioritizes corporate profits over public health.
