Lunch & Learn with Haw River Assembly

Learn about the Haw River Watershed, including recreation opportunities, stewardship programs and what the Haw Riverkeeper and Haw River Assembly are doing to preserve, protect and restore our waterways. Paddle Trip

Join a Haw River Assembly staff member on a guided paddle trip and learn about the Haw River Assembly’s ongoing efforts to protect and restore our watershed!  Haw River Assembly will register your participants, provide supplies including kayaks and canoes, paddles, and PFDs, and host you during the cleanup—dates and locations to be mutually agreed upon. Haw River Assembly can typically accommodate groups of 12. Paddle trips cost $500-1000, depending on group size. Email emily@hawriver.org to book your paddle trip today.

Group Service Project/Company Clean-Ups! 

Showcase your company’s or team’s commitment to community impact with an experienced leader designed for convenience and deeper engagement. Haw River Assembly offers end-to-end coordination for cleanups of up to 12 participants, including a staff member, a predetermined safe location, social media recognition, and an educational experience about litter in our waterways.

Costs: 

  • $125 for non-profit & school groups 

  • $225 for corporate groups 

We request a suggested donation (see above) to help offset costs and ensure we can continue supporting our community-focused work. This donation allows us to provide equipment, staffing, and logistical support for your event. Email events@hawriver.org!
